Next time you're in the gas station and you want to pick something to drink, keep this in mind. I generally only drink water so this isn't a huge issue for myself. I know many people who drink Mountain Dew on a daily basis, and as this picture shows it's not healthy! Once your body gets used to that sugar consumption it become immune to it, so it will always crave it. For some people if they don't have sugar daily they will get headaches and worst of all may not be able to function properly!
I do drink mountain dew but not on a daily basis. It is hard for me to drink as much water as suppose to because i am suppossed to drink twice what a "normal" human needs to. (l0l) Im not sure how much that comes to off the top of my head but i know its alot! I also like the picture you attached it gives everyone a good presepective of all the sugars drinks can have.
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you don't drink Mountain Dew everyday! You have to splurge sometimes:) That's crazy you have to drink twice as much. I know I need to consume more water. Maybe i'll find some information concerning general rule regarding how much water we should drink.:) I agree the pictures speaks for itself.

I remember in High School they showed us something like this in cooking class..I also think they did it in contents of fat for food. It shocked me so much when i first saw how much i was really consuming when i ate/drank those things.
ReplyDeleteThe amount of sugar in soda is crazy. I don't drink drink regular soda, but I do drink diet soda, which has aspartame in it. Aspartame is an artificial sweetener that is added to foods and drink without extra calories. There have been articles written indicating some medical concerns from the consumption of products that have aspartame. Some side effects are headaches, migraines, confusion or impairment to memory. That being said, I try to limit my intake of any type of soda.
